Wedofootjobs.com claims to be about two things, foot jobs, and high definition video. On the tour of the site, much is made about the super high quality of their videos, so I checked out their sample clip before I logged in. At a size of 640x480 and a bitrate of around 1500 kbps, it looked OK, but nowhere near high def. The colors were a bit washed out and the picture overall looked a little blurry. I assumed that once inside the members area, the quality would increase, but unfortunately, it did not. Some of the videos are larger than the sample, but they don't look any clearer and many of them have strange lines throughout the frame or very significant blurriness, particularly when there is fast movement. I was expecting higher than average video, and what I got was lower than average.

There are 86 videos currently, and the previously daily updates ceased over two weeks before I visited the site, so I'm not sure what the update status is here. Generally, videos with these specs will enlarge nicely to full screen in my experience, but these start off looking blurry and enlarging them at all only makes it worse.
There are 109 picture galleries on the site, and I believe they are a mixture of regular photos and screen captures taken from the videos. The sets average about 100 images each, but ZIP files are not provided. The quality for the actual photographs is OK, but the screen captures, not surprisingly, leave something to be desired.

The wedofootjobs.com photo section has grown a tad since my original review here and now offers around 109 galleries while the video section has actually gotten a bit smaller, falling to around 113 scenes.
As far as I can tell, updates are not being made and while I've seen much smaller sites stop updating, I do think the collection would be much, much better with some growth.
Luckily, the $1 trial option offers full site access for three days rather than just a small portion of the materials, and that should be more than enough time to check out this site plus the eight bonus sites and various bonus sections to determine if it's worth sticking around longer. |
