Among the many mysteries of porn I have yet to unravel is why, exactly, porn producers insist on using well known stars for sites which are supposed to be about amateurs or new comers. At pornstartryouts.com, the premise is that these babes need a job and are "tricked" into staring in a XXX porno over a three day period. I suppose some of these babes could be new to the world of porn, but I have seen many of them before. These honeys may not be strangers to fucking on film, but I suppose they all look young and innocent enough to pull it off.

For each of the models at pornstartryouts, there are three videos for the three days of the audition. The first video is just an interview, the second gets them naked and posing for pictures, and the third consists of the hardcore fucking and sucking action. The disappointing thing about Pornstar Tryouts is that there's no way to download the videos. Each flick is offered for streaming only in WMV format in three quality levels, though even the highest is really not large enough at around 400x300 pixels, in my opinion. You can enlarge them some, but not to full screen without major quality loss. The scenes run about 20 minutes long each, and aside from the smaller size of the videos, they look pretty nice.
In addition to the three videos spanning the length of the audition process, there are also two photo sets for each new porn starlet including one solo and one hardcore shoot. The photos are all nicely done with great lighting and color, and are around 800 pixels on the long side. The only complaint I have about the photo content at pornstartryouts is that there are no ZIP files to download the full sets.

As far as I can tell from the site, there are no new updates coming for pornstartryouts. With just 17 episodes currently, this is a very small selection, and I really couldn't recommend this site if not for the large collection of bonus downloadable DVDs which are included with membership. There are over 600 titles in all, and they are updated daily. The cost of joining pornstartryouts is about $4 for a three day trial. |

Pornstartryouts.com has around five or six more scenes today than it did months ago when I originally visited the site, but all of the new additions are labeled as being from before the date of my original review.
Like some other sites in this network, I think these dates are essentially meaningless and have no bearing on when the materials were actually added to the site. That being said, I don't expect to see any further growth here, at least not on any regular basis. On the upside, they have added downloadable versions of the flicks already here in WMV, AVI and iPod/PSP format as well as switching over to Flash format for streaming.
Even without updates, this one is worth a trail at least and when you see the massive bonus package of over 55 other sites, you'll want to stick around even longer! |
