Oyeloca.com finally gave me a chance to use the four years of Spanish I took in high school, so I can confidently tell you that "Oye Loca" essentially translates as "Hey, crazy chick!" which doesn't exactly sound like the best way to attract gorgeous Latinas on the streets of Miami, but somehow these guys make it work. All kidding aside, I wasn't expecting a lot from the site, which seemed on the surface like your run of the mill staged street pick up fake "reality" site, and in many ways is. I have to admit they surprised me, however, with the quality and attention to detail on the site, so let's take a look.
"Oye Loca" essentially translates as "Hey, crazy chick!" which doesn't exactly sound like the best way to attract gorgeous Latinas on the streets of Miami...
Like another site I reviewed in the same network, innocenthigh.com, Oye Loca got off to a great start from the very beginning. Not only did the tour look great, but once I was inside I found all my favorite features of its sister site, and they work just as well here as they did there. The update schedule is one of the first things listed on the site, and all the materials here are dated so there's no mystery about how often and when the new additions are placed on the site. There's also a more than sufficient scene description for each episode, written in clear English. The best aspects of the site, however, are the quality of the materials and the options you're given for downloading them.
The videos are available in WMV and MPEG formats with a variety of different options and choices. The movies are available as a full length, high quality download in WMV format, which is my personal choice. Other WMV format options include high quality large chunks, and high and low quality one minute clips. In the MPEG department, you can choose the one minute clips or the large chunks, though quality options aren't offered. The downloads are blazing fast here, which of course has as much to do with your connection as it does with the site, but I consistently got much higher than average speeds on my cable connection. Best of all, the high quality WMVs work great for full screen viewing.
Each episode on oyeloca also includes a set of photographs that are nice, professionally taken images rather than poor quality screen captures. The sets average a generous 350 pictures each and you have the full range of gallery, slideshow and ZIP file options available to you. The pictures are over 1000 pixels on the long side.
The movies are available as a full length, high quality download in WMV format, which is my personal choice.
With over 35 episodes currently and a new one coming each and every week, oyeloca.com is a great choice for Latina lovers, but to sweeten the deal, there are also five other sites in the network included for the same price. Access to everything is around $24 for 30 days. |

My second visit to oyeloca.com revealed that this exclusive Latina site updated about twice per month for a while but at the time I logged in, nothing had been added in over a month and a half. Hopefully they'll pick up the growth again because at around 55 scenes currently, the site could still definitely use some growth.
If you're interested in seeing more but don't think the size of the collection justifies the cost, then you should be happy to know that the bonus package now includes six exclusive sites, some of which are actively updating. Overall, it's not a bad deal for about $24 for 30 days. |
