Hentaikey.com is one of those sites that is a lot of fun to browse and should make members very happy, but is a nightmare to review. It's not because there is anything wrong with the site per se, but it's simply so huge and multifaceted that I really feel there's no way to accurately review it without writing a 25 page dissertation. A quick check of the tour should give you a very good idea about all of the sections and categories on this massive network, if the surprise talking cartoon tour guide doesn't scare you to death, that is.
The sites are divided into categories like doujin, manga, anime, artists, cartoons, 3D and more to help you find something to match your preferences.
Essentially, the materials here at Hentai Key can be broken into three main categories, which then break down into more categories, sites, and sections than I could count in a full day. The content is either original content produced by Hentai Key, licensed content offered by Hentai Key on the main site, or individually made collections found on dozens of individual sites hosted by Hentai Key.
The individual sites can have hundreds of videos, pictures, and games, or just a few, though each site has a minimum of four galleries or movies. The file formats, qualities, lengths, number of pictures, download capability, streaming support, and other details of the sites vary so it's not possible to say much about the specifics here, but there are somewhere around 165 of these individual sites offered. Despite the claim on the tour of 840 sites, and the claim in the members area of over 500 sites, the most I could ever count was about 165. I'm not sure what the cause is for the discrepancy, but even with the number I came up with, you'll be looking at anime and hentai porn for years and years, particularly since many of these sites update constantly. The sites are divided into categories like doujin, manga, anime, artists, cartoons, 3D and more to help you find something to match your preferences.

Between the original and licensed hentaikey content (the stuff that isn't found on the mini-sites) there are over 47000 videos, games, flash videos, stories, picture sets and comics, divided into categories such as yaoi, MMG, toons, anime, art, and more, and amazingly, ZIP files are offered to download the full sets. Keep in mind, those numbers don't even take into account all of the virtually uncountable materials on the mini-sites.
At the beginning, I knew that hentaikey was a huge site, but I was really not prepared for the sheer amount of content here, or the multiple daily updates. I believe this is the largest site I have ever reviewed or even seen, by a long shot, but even with a collection larger than anything I've seen before, the price is still about the average at around $29 for 30 days. |

I remember being very overwhelmed by hentaikey.com the first time around, and frankly, there are still some things here which make me scratch my head. They've still got claims offering between 500 and 800 "mini sites" but this time I counted even fewer than last time, somewhere around 70.
You can search everything on all of the sites at once, so it's not too much trouble getting around anyway, but it just seems strange that they even still bother with the whole "mini site" concept. Perhaps they are phasing it out and offer everything just in a regular, searchable archive form.
The site is still massive and updating daily, and I still think it's the absolute best destination for toon, anime and hentai fans. They even throw in access to two new sites, one of which offers over 200 hentai DVDs for download! |
