For fans of hard BDSM play and true scene players, the name PD may be very familiar. He's credited with one of the hardest, most extreme BDSM sites ever, insex.com, and though the scene of what's permissible in online porn has changed over the last few years, his new project, hardtied.com keeps much of the raw, non-fantasy based BDSM feel of the infamous Insex. There's not much pretending going on here, just real fetish models and amateurs getting tied, secured in devices, whipped, flogged, chained, gagged, fucked with dildos, shaved, suspended and much more.
The materials at Hard Tied are arranged in "articles" each with a video and photo set. The articles are essentially laid out in a list with preview thumbnails and some brief scene information. There is a forum which is reasonably active and a "model" section which I assumed would be a searchable database or at least a list, but turned out to be a model application instead. The collection is a decent size with around 100 articles, or scenes, so far, and with weekly updates each Wednesday, it's rapidly approaching a size where some sort of search or sort system will be needed.
The 100% exclusive videos at hardtied.com are offered in full length and split iPod/PSP and RM format files. Quality is about average with the RM versions displaying at 640x480 pixels with a bitrate of around 450, but there is some bad news here. The download speeds here are painfully slow and in the time it normally takes me to download three to five videos, I wasn't even halfway done with one here despite the smaller than average file size. I never even approached 56K in speed, instead hovering well below dial up. Overall, I don't think those who need instant gratification will enjoy things here, but if you're the type who can just let a download go for later viewing, then it will be well worth the wait for these real, raw and quite extreme scenes. The average running time is around 35 minutes. Many of the scenes take place in a barn or warehouse setting and can include male or female dominants but always female submissives. The scenes are pretty varied, but a brief look at the tour here should give you a good idea of the types of things they put these sexy babes through!
The photo sets are done pretty differently than most sites here at hardtied. Instead of offering the full set in galleries, only a few select shots are displayed and you must download the included ZIP file to see them all. While I appreciate the ZIP file option, I would prefer to at least be able to view thumbnails of everything first especially considering how long it can take to download these ZIP files. The sets average about 150 images each and are nice large images at over 1200 pixels on the long side. They're generally nice and clear, but sometimes a bit dark, though I suppose that sort of adds some atmosphere to this BDSM site.
While I'd certainly like to see the quality on the videos raised a bit here, and the download speeds are more than aggravating, the materials are exclusive, feature many models not seen elsewhere along with some BDSM favorites, and are generally great action if you enjoy this kind of thing. Membership is around $34 for 30 days. |
