I had heard a lot about explicite-art.com and not a single word of it was bad, so I was anxious to check out the goods. The cold hard facts are displayed proudly at the top of the tour for the world to see: 793 videos, 52,943 pictures and 265 models. Even before I was in the members area, I could tell this wasn't just any porn site. Rather than the garish, colorful mess that most websites have on their tour, this site opts for a more subdued black theme, which highlights the lovely content nicely. John B. Root, the French director and photographer behind the site has won many awards for his work, and it shows. Everything at explicite-art.com has an extra level of expression to it that not many sites are offering, and in fact is rare in the adult industry.
...explicite-art.com truly lived up to the hype, something that I thought would be impossible to do.
Once inside the site, I was happy to see that they have a navigation system befitting such high quality goods. You can search the archives by model name or activity such as blowjob, anal, and dildo, just to start. You can browse the models and check out each models page which will in turn give you all the details about each video or photo set that that particular model is in. A nifty little temperature gauge next to each scene shows you how "hot" the scene is on a scale of soft to XXX. While there's plenty of artistic posing going on at this daily updated site, there's plenty of hardcore action as well, not to mention extreme acts such as fisting and urination play.
The videos average seven minutes in length, and while I was a little surprised at the short duration, many of the hardcore videos are much longer, not to mention the sheer number of options makes it hard for me to complain. I was having a hard time thinking of a file format that ISN'T offered here. iPod, MPEG, WMV, MOV and DivX are all covered, which DivX being the highest quality at a whopping 2200 kbps that looks perfectly crystal clear in full screen on my 17 inch monitor. There were times when I was sure I could smell the models perfume because the videos look so real.
Everything at explicite-art.com has an extra level of expression to it that not many sites are offering, and in fact is rare in the adult industry.
There are right around 800 picture sets on the site currently, averaging 50-60 images each, and of course in keeping with the high standards of the site, ZIP files are offered for easy download, but you are still free to view the images on the site in galleries as well. The images are 1200x1800 pixels in size and words cannot describe how clear and perfect these photos are.
I have to say, in the end, explicite-art.com truly lived up to the hype, something that I thought would be impossible to do. If you have any interest at all in artistic erotic pictures and videos, you would be a fool not to join this site. Membership is around $29 per month. Two thumbs up for this site! |

Explicite-art.com is one of the best exclusive sites I've ever reviewed, so I was pretty excited to re-visit this collection and see how much they had grown since the time of my original review in March of 2007.
The first time around, updates were coming daily so I was expecting to see literally hundreds of new galleries and videos. Unfortunately, I have to say that I was pretty let down because it seems that the site is not actually growing at all, and may in fact be shrinking. Although the site itself mentions over 915 videos, there are only around 743 actually available in the video section, and there is almost the exact same number of photo sets here now as before, give or take five or 10 sets.
Despite this apparent lack of real growth, the site still lists updates on the main page six days per week. I'm still a big fan of the site, and there's definitely more than enough here to warrant a join to check out the collection, but here's to hoping that the site gets back on the right track! |
