Chicksandtoys.com promises DVD quality video downloads and high-res images of sexy babes playing with their toys and jamming their fingers into their tight holes until they cream. They do offer some DVD quality videos, but I have to admit, wading through this site and viewing these videos was one of the most irritating experiences I've had while reviewing a site.
The first problem that I ran into at chicksandtoys was the extremely slow load time of the pages. When downloading files, strangely enough, the speed was fine, but just a simple click on a link could take 15-20 seconds before the page loaded up. This problem was exacerbated by the fact that when navigating through the pages of photo sets and videos, there is only a "next" and "previous" link rather than a link for each page which means that you have to click through every single page of videos in order to get to the end of the list. Another issue is the lack of updates. There is a small "next updates" section with dates for yet to be released materials, but none of the materials actually available have dates, and the "daily updates" claimed seems high implausible since the site has been around for about two years and has 75 picture sets and 47 videos.
The most irritating problem with the site had to do with the encoding and file types offered for the videos. The flicks are sometimes offered in WMV format, and sometimes in MPEG format, but all of the MPEG videos I downloaded were saved incorrectly with no file extension association and that problem has to be fixed before they'll play. I have run across this problem before and knew how to fix it, but those who may be less technically inclined may never be able to watch these flicks. Others would play without a trouble, but were in the wrong aspect ratio which means that the screen was taller than it was wide and squashed the picture. For the videos which functioned correctly, some were DVD quality, and some weren't even close.
The photo sets at chicksandtoys.com average around 120 images each. There is a slide show function, but no ZIP files and the images are about 760 pixels on the long side, which I would consider medium in size. The quality is about average.
The bottom line here at chicksandtoys is that, if the site functioned correctly and updated as stated, it would be a great site. As it is, there's just way too much aggravation here. I guess the only mitigating factor is the included access to a few other sites on the network. The cost of a 30 day membership is about $24. |
