Caribbeancom.com has officially won the prize for the most off-topic and pointless name of any site I've reviewed, or at least they would have if such a prize actually existed. This hardcore porn site has nothing to do with Caribbean people or the Caribbean Islands in any way, but instead is a Japanese mega-site featuring mostly Japanese porn with perhaps some American stuff thrown in for variety. Although there is an option for English when you enter the site, there is still enough Japanese writing that I was confused at times, and the extremely cluttered interface didn't help matters much.
Unlike just about every other porn site I've ever seen, Caribbeancom doesn't have a member's area. What you see on the "tour" is the website. There is no enter button, but when you select a video to download, you will be prompted for your username and password. Just the fact that there's no inside members area isn't a particularly big deal, but the interface here is an absolute nightmare. If I were a potential member looking for a site to join, I would have closed this one before it was even finished loading. It's just too cluttered, almost to the point that it hurts to look at. Everywhere you look, there's something to click on including graphics that look like banner ads and various menu options to narrow the collection by actress name or category. Some of the categories are self explanatory, like anal, blow ob or outdoor. Others seem overall general, like "fuck on camera." Isn't that what porn is? Still others are misspelled, are only written in Japanese, or are just plain funny like "bondage" or my personal favorite, "secret language."
If not for the clearly labeled button that said "all movies" I probably would have given up on ever finding out how much content is here, but luckily that made it pretty simple to see that there are 1240 videos currently and updates seem to be made three times per week. I really have no complaints about the quality of the videos themselves. They're uncensored which is always a plus for Japanese porn fans, and are offered in WMV format in three quality levels. Streaming and download is supported for the low and medium versions, but only download is offered for the high quality versions which are 640x480 pixels with a bitrate of around 1600 kbps. These high quality flicks can easily be viewed in full screen.
Caribbeancom.com is one of the more unusual sites that I've reviewed in several ways, so though it probably shouldn't have been much of a shock, I was surprised to see how expensive membership is. At around $49 for 30 days access, this is hands down the most expensive site I've ever seen, much less reviewed. Die hard Japanese porn fans may find that the selection here makes the cost worth it, but I'm not knowledgeable enough about it to know if the titles they offer are highly sought after. |
