I have two main complaints with the site. The first is the navigation. When I first logged on to the site, I was taken to a page with the latest update from asianparade.com and a link to click for other recent updates however when I clicked that link I was taken to a list of recent updates of various sites on the network, none of which was Asian themed. After a bit of clicking around, I found the section that links to the feeds that make up the available materials, which is available on the left side under "videos". The first in the list of third party feeds is one called "Asian Parade" which essentially makes up the core content of the site, though there are two other Asian themed feeds as well. There are around 60 picture and video updates so far, with a new one being added every week. The majority of the videos are only available to stream, but some of the newer updates offer a download option as well in WMV format at two quality levels, both of which look just fine in full screen mode.

The around 160 pictures that accompany each video are fairly good quality, and are sized at around 800x530 pixels. The plus side is that they are not screen captures, but actual still photos, but the downside is that there are no ZIP files available for downloading, so saving all 160 individually would be quite a chore. Still, I have to give them credit for not skimping and using video screen captures.
When it's all said and done, there aren't a lot of great things to say about asianparade.com, but there aren't a lot of bad things to say, either. It's a very mediocre website with a large, but also mostly mediocre bonus site package. There are over 25 other sites available, but most if not all of them feature only third party feed content. If you're a die hard Asian fan who just must see everything the genre has to offer, I would suggest the three day trial for about $5, but be aware that if you let it renew, you will be charged about $40 for the next 30 days. |

The first time I visited asianparade.com and the other sites in the network, I noticed that all of the content came in the form of feeds and assumed they were third party... after all, I've never seen feeds that weren't, until now. These are the same guys who produce the content so it's not exactly third party, but it's not exactly exclusive either since I see these feeds almost everywhere.
They offer 61 video/combo sets currently and monthly updates. The benefit of joining here directly (and paying the much higher than average monthly price) is that many of the new scenes being added have super high quality levels...far higher than you will see almost anywhere else. While it's not without its issues, this one may be worth a look for Asian fans lusting for high quality vids. |
