I checked out Anette's diary first thing to get an idea about how involved she is in the site, but there was just a "coming soon" message posted. Aside from a very brief bio sections and the pages for videos and pictures, the rest of the menu options here either have "coming soon" messages or are up sells. The collection so far is pretty small with just 24 photo sets and 17 videos. Updates are coming, but they seem pretty erratic and average out to about one new photo set per week and videos less often. There is no interaction with Anette at all aside from her email address.
While the site is almost totally lacking any personality or flavor, at least the materials are nice quality. The images here display at over 1200 pixels on the long side and look very crisp and clear. The sets average about 125 images each and can be viewed in thumbnail galleries, as a slideshow, or can be downloaded in ZIP files. The videos are offered in full and split length WMV and MOV format files and look excellent at 720x400 pixels and a bitrate of around 2000 kbps. The average length is around 11 minutes.
Anette Dawn is hot, but in the end, I can't really see any other compelling reasons to join her site. The collection is small and offers erratic updates, six months after the launch of the site, there are still missing sections, and there's just not much spark here since Anette doesn't really seem to be involved with the site. If there was a bonus package backing the site up, I might say it's worth a look, but as it stands, I think I have to recommend passing on this one, at least for now. Membership is around $24 for 30 days. |
