However, another big factor for a successful solo model site is interaction with the star herself, and that is completely lacking here, unfortunately.

There are no dates anywhere on allaboutashley and this appears to be a static collection, which is all too common for solo model sites. There are just 30 videos on the site averaging about five minutes long each. The photo section is a pretty impressive size, at least on the surface. There are 265 separate sets listed, but these sets aren't divided up the way that most are. Instead of each set featuring a different outfit, toy, and/or setting, it seems like they split one photo session into at least two sets. For example, in one set, Ashley starts off fully clothed on the floor with balloons, and by the end of the set, she has her shirt pulled up and her pants pulled down. In the next set, she starts off on the same floor, same balloons, same clothing with her shirt pulled up and her pants pulled down, and then gets naked by the end. At 99% of sites, those two sets would actually be one set. It just seems like a tactic to make it look like there's more here than there really is.
The images themselves, however, look pretty good and are over 1000 pixels on the long side, though ZIP files are not offered. I was much less impressed with the videos. They are offered in your choice of WMV or MOV files, but at a size of just 320x240 pixels and a bitrate of about 300 kbps, these just don't cut it. The picture is small and doesn't look all that great to begin with, and when you enlarge, of course, it only gets worse. It looks like I was right about allaboutashley.com being a static collection since the site has not grown at all since I first visited back in May of 2007. The bonus package here is quite a bit bigger than before with around 70 sites included, but most of the individual collections are small and a lot of the content looks older.
Six of the included sites are also solo model sites, so if you like this type of thing, you'll be getting a lot of it in your overall package. Although the short term trial option here seems attractive considering the lack of updates, you'll only get partial site access if you go this route, and if you decide to stick around beyond the trial period, the monthly cost is much higher than a normal full join. Going straight for a full 30 days is definitely the way to go! |
