Although it's not really hyped as such on the tour pages, 12xhardcore.com is a DVD download site which offers full length adult DVD titles, split into pieces, for download. I see a lot of these sites, and for good reason. They offer great value when compared to most adult sites, and they offer the chance for porn fans to see DVDs they've missed over the years for a flat rate. 12 X Hardcore is all of these things, but with so many DVD download sites competing for your hard earned bucks, it pays to comparison shop.
Although it's not really hyped as such on the tour pages, 12xhardcore.com is a DVD download site which offers full length adult DVD titles, split into pieces, for download.
I wasn't able to find a way to view a complete list of titles available at 12xhardcore, and I'm not sure if the scenes overlap between categories, so my best estimate is that there are around 1000 DVD titles made up of over 5000 scenes available on the site. Everything is divided into 28 different categories, or "niches," such as teen, mature, lesbian, big cocks, foot fetish, panties and anal. You can also search by key word, but I wasn't able to find several of the other options that I'm used to seeing on similar sites such as browse by pornstar name, studio, or series, although you can pretty much accomplish the same thing with the search box if you know what you're looking for, and once you've found a title with a performer you enjoy, you can click her name to find more.

I have to say, I wasn't a fan of the category display pages here at 12 X Hardcore. There's just one small preview pic that often doesn't give much insight into the scene, along with the title and brief description. The trouble is that the space is limited and the titles and descriptions often get cut off. Also, instead of giving you a complete list of all of the teen movies in alphabetical order, or by date, for example, the first page you'll see is made up of the "top teen scenes" and "today's hottest teen scenes." I didn't see any voting or ranking system in place, so I'm not sure what determines the scenes displayed here. You'll have to click the "more scenes" link at the bottom of that first page to get to the actual full list. Overall, getting around and finding what you want just isn't quite as smooth as it should be, unfortunately.
The titles are split into scenes for download, and the full scene comes in one file in WMV format. Dial-up and broadband versions are offered, and you have the option of downloading or streaming the scenes directly from the site. The downloads are nice and quick, and the streaming was flawless, but even the higher quality broadband version is only 320x240 pixels at a bitrate of around 700 kbps. Some of the scenes look decent if enlarged to full screen, but there is almost always going to be some noticeable quality loss. These are what I would consider average quality videos, and unfortunately, this site is in a category full of very above average competitors which often offer DVD quality downloads. These 320x240 flicks just can't compare.
There is a small recent updates section here, but with no dates, it really doesn't offer much information. This is another negative for the site since many DVD download sites offer up to five scheduled updates per day. On the plus side, 12xhardcore offers a pretty nice selection of bonus materials including photo galleries and a large collection of third party feeds. There really is a lot to see here, and I don't want to be too hard on a site with so much content, but I do hope they take some tips from other DVD download sites to make theirs even better. In the meantime, you can join the site on a trial basis for about $2 for three days. |
