The videos are offered in iPod, WMV and MPEG formats. There are no full length downloads for any of the formats, so you'll have to download these movies in segments. Generally, I don't mind that too much, but at Hardcore Partying, the MPEG versions can be split into as many as 50 pieces each, while the WMV and iPod versions usually have between eight and 10 pieces each. I could understand if the videos were extremely high quality, and therefore would be huge full length files, but the highest quality available is only around 320x240 pixels and isn't suitable for full screen viewing. I've reviewed many sites that offered full length downloads with higher quality videos than those offered here. Another problem with the videos is the built in DRM protection. DRM inactivates videos once your membership has run out, so those flicks you saved on your hard drive will only play until you cancel your membership with the site.
I was pretty impressed with the photos over all, especially since they are obviously taken in a party type environment where lighting and other conditions aren't always ideal.
The photo sets average about 120 images each. ZIP files are not provided and there are no other viewing options except the thumbnail galleries on the site. Updates to the site seem to be erratic, but they are coming which is a good sign. 14 other sites in the network are offered for the same price when you join hardcorepartying, but you should be aware that the price is higher than average. In my opinion, the DRM protection needs to be removed and full length downloads added before this site is anywhere near being able to compete with the more generous sites out there. The price for 30 days is around $38. |

It looks like the nasty parties are raging on here at hardcorepartying.com, although updates are only coming about once per month on average. The site now offers around 71 videos and 59 photo sets plus access to 17 bonus sites.
I'd really like to be able to recommend a trial here, but as far as I know, it will only get you access to a small portion of the photo content and no videos so it seems like it's probably best skipped.
The price of around $38 for 30 days is above average and many sites offer much less restrictive materials for a lower price, but if you can handle the DRM protected videos and lack of full length video files, it could be worth checking out. |
