Celeb-king.com is dedicated to bringing you the scandals, porn tapes, and accidental nip-slips from your favorite celebs. Whether it's A-listers like Angelina Jolie and Scarlet Johansson, or D-listers like... actually, who remembers D-listers' names anyway? My point is that if anyone famous, or anyone desperate to be famous, has done anything remotely scandalous or shown a little skin in a movie, then there's a good chance you'll find it here at this daily updated celeb themed site.

Most of the materials at celeb-king are arranged by the name of the celebrity, but there are a few specific sections like catwalk and "oops" that seem to have materials not included in the alphabetical list. Overall, while there is a lot here, it's next to impossible for me as a reviewer to guess exactly HOW much without a major undertaking. The tour claims 70,000 pictures and 5,000 movies, and I would say that is more than possible. Celeb-king truly is a large site.
I was a little uncomfortable with amount of materials here that seem to be taken from possibly less than legal sources. Many pictures and videos are marked with other entities' watermarks, and some are even marked as having come from known illegal pirating websites. As a paying member, I shouldn't have to wonder if what is being offered to me is even legal. Furthermore, much of this content is readily available on the web for free with a simple search and doesn't show any more skin than you would see on a celebrity gossip show. In fact, some of the videos are taken directly from celeb TV shows and stations like MTV and VH1.
Celeb-king truly is a large site.
With the extremely diverse and wide ranging quality of materials here at celeb-king, it's not really possible to comment much beyond saying that ZIP files are not offered for photo sets, and the videos are available for download, usually in WMV format. Some are high quality, others look like bad VHS dubs or magazine scans.
I haven't seen a lot of celeb sites, but I have seen a few, and I have to say that I don't think celeb-king is at the top of that list in terms of usability, size, or quality, and the dubious legal status only makes me hesitate more. When I originally reviewed celeb-king.com, I hadn't seen many other similar, celeb themed sites. I've reviewed many more since then, however, and I'd say that most of what I had to say back then still applies.
The site has not added any additional features or options leaving this one of the plainest celeb sites around. An update log is displayed on the main member's area page and indicates daily updates, but they don't list specific materials, just the name of the celebrity so they could easily just be listing random names from their database.
All things considered, it's far from the top in terms of celeb sites, but may hold appeal for those who have exhausted their other celeb-scandal sources. |
